I moved to Vietnam at 35 and
retired at 40 on a teacher's salary.
I was a Teacher for 17 years. I had zero savings at 30, a student loan, and a maxed-out line of credit. I was doing Uber deliveries on a bicycle on weekends to pay down debt faster before I moved to Vietnam.
But by 37 I was debt-free and living in Vietnam. By 40 I made the leap, retired early and moved to a villa at An Bang Beach in Hoi An, Vietnam. I have everything I ever dreamed of in Vietnam: a home, a family, and healthcare at a fraction of what life cost back in San Francisco or Toronto. No inheritance. No six-figure salary. No day trading or luck.

Common questions
What's the difference between the tiers?
All three tiers include the full course library, all nine field guides, and the complete recordings archive. The difference is access to Evan. Solo is self-directed. You get access to everything you need, but no direct contact. Guided adds a 30-minute personal onboarding call. Full Service adds an hour-long call plus a written personalized relocation plan built specifically for your situation.
Can I upgrade after I join?
Yes. If you start on Solo and later want a personal call, you can upgrade to Guided or Full Service. Email [email protected] and we'll sort it out. You'll pay the difference, not the full new price.
What does the personalized relocation plan actually include?
It's a PDF document built specifically for you, delivered to your inbox within 24 hours of your onboarding call. It covers your recommended city and specific neighbourhoods based on your lifestyle, budget, and family situation. This the same research I do for myself and the members I coach in person. Your visa pathway, mapped out for your nationality and circumstances. A monthly budget breakdown at your target lifestyle level, with real numbers from the ground. A 12-month move timeline with month-by-month action steps from today to arrival. And a housing strategy: what to rent, what to budget, and which platforms to use when you get there. It's built from your 60-minute consultation, all of my courses and personal experience, as well as my nine field guides. I do not use a template and slap your name on it. We sit down and talk together and make you document you'll refer back to for the next year while you plan and put you move abroad into action.
How quickly are the courses and guides updated?
The field guides are reviewed and updated annually: visa rules, banking options, app recommendations, hospital lists. When something significant changes mid-year (like Vietnam's Golden Visa launch in May 2025), updates go in immediately. New live streams and member consult recordings are added weekly excepting major holidays and illness.
I just want one course, not a membership. Can I do that?

I'm already living abroad. Is this still useful?
The Move to Vietnam course and my Complete Guide to Life in Southeast Asia are still useful for optimization and curated information and knowledge: banking setup, visa pathways, healthcare choices, income options. The YouTube Side Hustle and 10-Year Retirement Plan courses are relevant regardless of where you live. The onboarding call tiers are primarily designed for people planning a move, though members already abroad sometimes use them for specific situation reviews.
